The Department of promotion for Industry & Internal Trade under the  Ministry of Commerce & Industry –DPIIT , Vide their notification No G.S.R. 127 (E) has laid down the definition & Eligibility for the recognition of Business Entities as “ START UP’’.  The Company should demonstrate its business activities in the area of innovative products / use of new technology improving the products & process and or adopting business model having high potential of employment & wealth generation.

GENESIS: The entity should not be formed by splitting an existing unit or by any kind of reconstruction /reorganization. The Co /firm must establish its formation as an organic unit of business.
